About the exhibition
European Bonsai Association (EBA) and European Suiseki Association (ESA) Convention is an annual international exhibition of bonsai and suiseki. Every year it is organized by a different EBA member country and is hosted by local bonsai organization. 28th convention is hosted by Slovenian bonsai club and will take place in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.
Convention is one of the most important European bonsai events. Exhibition presents an opportunity to every EBA and ESA member country to be represented by their best bonsai and suiseki. Thus once a year all the best European bonsai trees are gathered together at one place. It is also a great opportunity for visitors to see that bonsai is more than just a tree in the pot, bonsai is a real work of art. Convention also has a rich accompanying program: New Talent Contest with participants from all attending countries, two world-class masters (Kevin Willson from UK and Salvatore Liporace from Italy) will demonstrate their skills in bonsai shaping. European Convention is a social event as well - bonsai lovers from all over the Europe can share their knowledge and experience. Visitors will enjoy a big area with all bonsai material available to purchase– tools, bonsai trees, pots, wire and everything else.
